Bears and the grizzly bear in particular symbolize the wilderness and imply wildness, being they are the top predator on this continent and are only found in remote sparsely populated places.

Brown Bears are simply Grizzly bears that live within 100 miles of the ocean. The largest of which can be found in the salmon rich waters of Alaska. See Alaska Section on the header bar above.
